“I don’t know what to write about!”
Learn the tools to not only “know what to write about,” but to say it with style!
Writing is not a skill that is learned once. Much like playing the piano or dancing ballet, it takes years of practice to become a good writer. Starting young is a great first step!
Do you wish your child could be a better writer? Do you feel like you don’t know how to help? Writing Essentials offers home-based and online writing classes for children in grades 3-9 using the IEW curriculum.
All of my classes are taught using the teaching methods that I have learned from the Institute for Excellence in Writing. Because I have used it with my own children, I have seen first hand how the techniques implemented on an incremental basis really serve to inspire and equip young writers to be able to express themselves well on paper.
What parents are saying about Writing Essentials:
Mrs. Bonsell’s class has helped me understand how to help my son develop his writing skills across a variety of genres. Her methods and sense if humor have changed the process of writing from being a tearful struggle to an objective process to which we apply our collection of “dress-ups” and sentence structures to his own ideas and compose a paper he looks forward to sharing in class. Thank you, Tracey!
I received (my student’s) Writing Assessments back today and they both scored 4! (out of 4) I attribute their success in part to you and your awesome IEW writing boot camp I hosted in the fall.
What an amazing class! The practical writing tools that this class provides will be with your children for a lifetime! This class took my boys from “C” writers to a “A” writers. Mrs. Bonsell does a wonderful job teaching this class.
